Bridget and Tommy, two Irish cottiers suffering amidst the Great Irish Famine, find themselves ensnared in a battle between Gaelic Gods who are using the dire circumstances to stake their claim on lands lost to them long ago. To aid in their rampage, the resurrected Caelbad MacCrimthann, a Prince from the Iron Age who could not find fame or power in life, now plans to redeem himself on his mission for his master.
To counter this menacing threat, Bridget and Tommy unite with a schoolmaster with a penchant for magic, a fairy, a former servant to a demon, an Iron Age Princess, and a girl possessed by a god.
Ultimately, the only object that can defeat the gathering forces of evil is the greatest of the five treasures of Ireland, the Cauldron of Dagda. A magical cauldron with the converse abilities of life and destruction. But can they uncover the cauldron before the evil prince conquers all of Ireland?

A Little About
Short Synopsis of Luska that almost sounds like it came from a Query Letter
Knowing the future can be burdensome, especially if that future is filled with death and destruction. In the science fiction novel, Luska, Eidi Nimogen finds herself aware that her world is speeding toward a cataclysm, yet there is nothing she can do, or so it seems.
Witty, dour, and sheltered, Eidi is a unique, precognitive, young woman born on the divided planet of Luska and in a galaxy dominated by humanity and seemingly devoid of alien life. Eidi and her family must struggle to survive an invasion from a Byzantine, brutal culture where the only escape is to flee to a mysterious, hellish, jungle planet. There they make unlikely allies of an enigmatic AI and former enemies as they struggle against shape-shifting, mind-controlling deities, nightmare simians, deadly parasites, and a surprising, tyrannical foe from their home planet of Luska.
But the real danger lies in the showdown that is taking place between a long dormant alien race called the Spearfinger, and the anti-alien, god-like Eth, where the ramifications of their confrontation could decide the future of the galaxy and the direction of humanity.
