My new, young adult, historical fiction novel, The Fiery Salamander, is now ready to purchase in paperback or download from Amazon (only Amazon at the moment). Lovers of family sagas, history, adventure and the colonial period in the Carolina's (yes, very specific) will have the vapors over my new novel. It's a little bit Huck Finn/Winter People, a little bit Last of the Mohicans and a large bit of fun. Think about the movie the Patriot. Now think about that movie if it was good. I mentioned that the book was fun, yet living on the frontier in the 1760's was not a day at Six Flags (or Carowinds in my case). There was small pox, unrest, lawlessness, animals that bite, slavery and not a few Native Americans who were quite pissed off at encroachment on their land and many other insults directed at them by the swelling population of Europeans. I think you will enjoy it.
That is enough verbiage- get the book yall.
Head on over to LFBooks blog and read a review of Luska. She mostly liked it! The book is a bit complex, kinda like one of those math questions about the train and how long it takes to reach the station except at the end the train explodes.
Now, until February 2, Luska is free to download on Library Thing. You can afford free! Get it here.
You may be busy this December, but how could you be too busy to sign-up and win a book?
Especially a book as heartwarming and life-affirming as Luska.
Think you never win anything? Well here's your chance to rewrite your loser narrative. This is your first step toward winning! Enter to win one of ten Amazon Kindle Ebooks.
The Goodreads giveaway of two paperback copies of Luska was a crazy success. There were 812 people that signed up for a chance to win a copy. Yeah, 812 people. That really boggles my little brain. Two lucky Candadians won (well one was a Canadien- she was from Quebec).
Here's something profound.
